You'll learn how to fix plasterboard sheets to walls and ceilings; mix plastering compounds; install suspended ceilings; construct bulkheads; read and interpret technical plans and specifications, use measurements and calculations, cut and fix paper-faced cornices; work safely at heights, work effectively on a construction site, and more!

When you complete the Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining you will be ready for a certified trade career as a wall and ceiling liner. You will gain the knowledge and skills to install and finish plasterboard and fibre cement sheeting to line walls and ceilings.

When you complete the Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining you will be ready for a certified trade career as a wall and ceiling liner.
This qualification will prepare you with the skills and knowledge to work in and provide a trade outcome in wall and ceiling. You will learn skills on fixing standard plasterboard sheets to walls and ceilings, fixing battens and mixing plastering compounds. You will also learn how to work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry, plan and organise work, carry out measurements and calculations and apply Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
You will need to be a registered apprentice with the State Training Authority or undergoing a Trade Skills Recognition process.
