This course will get you set up for a trade career as a wall and floor tiler.

Tilers play an important role in the construction industry. From kitchens to bathrooms in residential homes, through to lobbies and foyers in skyscrapers and hotels, a good tiler can put the finishing touch on interiors.

Through this training, you can become trades qualified as a tiler. You'll learn to use tiling tools and equipment; apply waterproofing and lay wall and floor tiles for domestic, commercial, and public buildings; tile curved surfaces and domestic pools; repair wall and floor tiles; design and lay mosaics and decorative tiling; interpret technical building plans and specifications use measurements and calculations; work safely on a construction worksite, and more!

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study. Note: This course is usually available only as an apprenticeship.

CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling forms part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package, and is for people working in the Wall and Floor tiling trade. Students learn to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes. Major areas of study include interpretation of plans, measurements and calculations, use of tiling tools and equipment, surface preparation and repairs.
