If you have a passion for fashion and would love to create wearable, touchable art — maybe even create your own label one day — this is the course for you! This is a high level qualification more suited to people with some industry experience.
Job roles may include designers, product developers, senior patternmakers and production managers. In the business area, roles may include assistant positions in marketing, buying and visual merchandising. Individuals may also be self-employed as designers.
You'll gain a wide range of specialised technical, creative and conceptual skills to enable you to express your ideas and perspectives through apparel, fashion and textiles. You'll learn how to use initiative and judgement in planning, design, technical or management functions in the apparel industry and all aspects of TCF quality management as well as fashion industry trends and innovations, TCF fibre and fabric performance, presenting a design concept, estimating production costs, TCF computing technologies. You'll graduate with a range of fashion business and technical production skills!
