This course will provide you with the latest remedial massage techniques. Whilst studying you will practice in a variety of clinical and sporting environments with clients ranging from people with disabilities to elite athletes - we are affiliated with a number of WA sports teams and work with them where possible.
A compulsory and highly valuable part of our course is a weekly supervised shift in the liveworks clinic.
On completion of this course, you are able to apply for and receive a private health care provider number from the nationally accredited massage associations.

Our Diploma of Remedial Massage students learn from industry experts who are passionate about the body, somatics, and pain science. Inspiring student's interest in the full spectrum of the musculoskeletal body and current treatment options to improve clients' health and well-being.
You will apply technical skills learnt in a supervised student massage clinic to meet the 200 hours of clinical practice, which is located in the Murdoch health precinct next to Fiona Stanley and St John of God Hospitals.
Once you graduate you can work with clients presenting with soft tissue dysfunction, musculoskeletal imbalance or restrictions in range of motion. You will also learn pregnancy massage, how to work specifically with chronic disease and pre and post sporting events.
On completion you will be eligible to apply for all private health care provider numbers (including Medibank) through nationally accredited massage associations.

The HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage from the Australian Institute of Fitness, equips graduates with the skills and qualification to work as a Remedial Massage Therapist. This program is the only massage qualification to include an AIF Chronic Disease and Pain Care Therapist, which enables graduates to manage clients experiencing pain and chronic disease. In addition, students will also become an AIF Certified Functional Movement Therapist, learning how to identify and treat movement-based dysfunction and prevent potential and recurring injuries.
