The recognised Course in Initial English as Another Language (EAL) will help you to gain basic skills in English language and numeracy, and build your confidence. 

The focus of the course is recognising letters of the alphabet and their sounds, recognising and copying familiar words, participating in simple conversations, using digital media, and counting from one to one hundred.

Training is conducted in small groups, with friendly and supportive leaders who will assist you every step of the way.

This program focuses on the development of the English language including speaking, listening, reading and writing skills that relate directly to personal, social and employment needs. Designed for students wanting to further develop their English skills in order to better equip themselves to access a wide range of further education, training, employment and community participation. This is a nationally recognised training course and consists of face to face training and on the job practical activities with ongoing support. Activ Pathways offer flexible delivery options throughout WA – including metro and regional locations. Government funded places for this qualification may be available under the Participation – Equity funding model, subject to eligibility.
