If you would love to work in jewellery design and manufacturing, this is the qualification for you! You'll gain skills and knowledge for a wide range of jewellery manufacture work including designing and making jewellery and small objects using a wide range of materials including different metals and stones, woods, plastics and fibres.

You'll get hands on experience using a range of hand and power tools for jewellery manufacturing, and the latest design software and technology. You'll also learn how to interpret design drawings and perform the computations required for the manufacturing process. 

A range of elective units are available, to enable you to specialise in areas such as jewellery repair, casting, gemstone setting, and wax modelling.

The Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture is a 4 year training program offered at North Metropolitan TAFE as part of the apprenticeship program. It will will give you a range of bench skills required to work in the jewellery manufacturing industry as a commercial jeweller

Once successfully completed you have the potential of finding employment internationally. The jewellery industry is an exciting one and how successful you are depends on your designs and commitment to the industry.

Your Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture is a great precursor to our Certificate IV in Design (Jewellery Studio).
