This qualification will give you the skills and confidence you need to lead tour groups to Australian destinations. You'll gain a range of skills related to conducting guided tours for a range of settings.

Training covers customer service; communication skills; preparing and delivering group activities and commentary for a range of destinations; developing regional knowledge; Australian indigenous culture and heritage; and cultural and social sensitivities. 

Tour guides work with some independence and under limited supervision using discretion and judgement to resolve problems. Guides at this level usually work in particular areas or sites, including attractions, cultural and heritage sites, tourist precincts, marine and national parks, wineries, or on board day or extended cruise vessels.
