This qualification will introduce you to a resource processing workplace and the essential risk controls; on site-safety; communication and working in a team; and environmental protocols, giving you the skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level employment as a processing technician in a resources processing facility. 

You'll also gain a range of technical skills including equipment operation; performing basic tests; operating chemical separation equipment; conveyor and stacker operations; operating plant and machinery; and much more!

Delivered through a traineeship pathway, this qualification reflects the role of individuals such as entry-level operators, working in metalliferous processing facilities or coal preparation and treatment plants.
They mainly perform routine operational tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, in a defined context under direct supervision.

The training for the Certificate II in Resource Processing (RII20520) is delivered on the job to registered trainees.  CTS can adjust the training to individual needs and workplaces.
We only offer this course if you are currently employed in the resource processing industry via a traineeship pathway. You must have access to specified equipment in order to enrol in this qualification with CTS and provide approval for CTS assessors to visit the site to conduct assessments.
Delivered via flexible learning on the job with 10 units for completion. Up to 36 months for a traineeship. More information is available on our website.
