The Diploma of Community Services is ideal for gaining the necessary skill sets for a profession in the Community Services sector. You can become an advocate in areas such as family welfare, community health, employment services and disability services. The responsibilities of Case Managers are diverse in nature but generally include duties such as the implementation of service programs, the evaluation and assessment of client needs, and coordinating referral processes.

The course is provided through teacher led classroom mode delivery. It would be delivered over 4 semesters including theory, self-paced structured e-learning, simulation training and professional experience placement (PEP).

The CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required to become a qualified Community Care Worker or if they choose the Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) pathway, they could become a Case Worker. The course provides students with specialised knowledge needed to work with clients in a legal and ethical environment which promotes inclusion and growth within diverse communities. Students will understand the practices required to analyse the needs of individuals, provide them with case management to help them within their environments, assess the needs within communities and develop service programs to meet their needs.
