This course will help to build on the basic digital literacy skills and knowledge that you already have; to give you confidence in using computers, the internet and other digital devices. From here, you could go on to further study to build more skills and knowledge or even seek work experience or an entry level job in an ICT setting.

This skill set has been designed for individuals who wish to meet competency requirements for a broad range of digital literacy skills including the use of basic computing, web searching and basic applications software.

 

This skill set has been designed for individuals who wish to meet competency requirements for a broad range of digital literacy skills including the use of basic computing, web searching and basic applications software. This skill set will cover the following:

  • Operate presentation packages;
  • Use, communicate and search securely on the internet;
  • Operate a personal computer;
  • Operate spreadsheet applications; and
  • Operate word-processing application.
