This course is suitable for adults from non English speaking backgrounds who wish to further develops the language and literacy skills to undertake further education and training, seek and maintain employment and participate in the community. You will learn skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will learn English within the context of living in Australia, and gain a greater insight into Australian society, customs and practices. It is expected that learners will undertake 700 hours of out-of-class study that involves homework and out-of-class tasks set by teachers.

Not all study modes are offered at all campuses. Please check with your local campus for study modes and elective units offered.

This course package is being superseded and will be replaced in 2019.
