Certificate IV in Floristry covers small business components and a broad range of varied floristry activities and applications most of which are complex and non-routine.

Skills are acquired to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new procedures for performing current practices and provide guidance to others in the application and planning of skills. Leadership and guidance are involved when organising activities of self and others as well as analysing market conditions and contributing to technical solutions.

The practical component of the course covers advanced design of floral items for different purposes, including corporate, competition, contemporary and function requirements with a high level of planning, coordination and merchandising.

This course is delivered at South Metropolitan TAFEover 2 semesters, which equates to 1 year of part-time study.

This Qualification is also available as a Traineeship. To study as a Trainee, you must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation. Please see the Apprenticeships/Traineeships section for more information.
