Trade Academy Western Australia

Certificate III in Scaffolding is the only accredited qualification for this skill set. Industry is beginning to recognize the importance of progressive training and have expressed support for the certificate III in Scaffolding as the most preferred training method in becoming a competent Scaffolder. This qualification is provided via a 12-18 month fulltime traineeship whilst employed under a training contract. The qualification provides 13 accredited units of competencies. Learners can expect to be trained in areas such as Occupational Health and Safety and the correct erection and dismantlement of various types of Scaffolding applications. This qualification includes three (3) Licenced components of training including Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level, Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding intermediate level and Licence to perform dogging.

To enhance the learners training experience and employability outcomes, Trade Academy Western Australia has attached additional training to this qualification such as rope access training which reflects modern day scaffolding practices in construction, mining and oil and gas sector.
