A Certificate II in Construction will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to undertake a range of manual labouring tasks on building and construction sites. You will learn about safe work practices, using equipment and tools and effective communication. You will also learn skills that will enable you to read plans, take measurements, concrete surfaces, prepare surfaces, prepare for various construction stages and organise your work.

Licencing Outcomes
Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
VET Student Loans : This course is NOT eligible for a VET Student Loan.
Please note that enrolments for Semester 2 are not available at our Geraldton Campus for this qualification. Enrolments are available for Semester 2 at our Carnarvon Campus.

This Traineeship consists of 15 accredited units of competency that are delivered over a period of 12 months. Participants successfully completing the qualification build a strong foundation that can increase employment opportunities in the construction industry. This qualification has core units of competency that are required in many of the Certificate III qualifications. The qualification provides an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to a majority of construction work sites. 

The qualification is also delivered via a Participation program model.

This qualification is provided via a 12 month fulltime traineeship or 18 month School based traineeship whilst employed under a training contract.
