Students develop the principles underpinning the operation of vehicle systems and subsystems. They learn to carry out servicing operations, inspect and service engines, transmissions, drivelines and braking systems. They also diagnose and repair cooling, steering, suspension, charging and starting systems. Students develop safe working practices and environmental awareness when developing solutions to planning and managing automotive vehicle systems.

The qualification is delivered using a mixture of short block courses and employment based training over a three year period.  You must be undertaking an apprenticeship to partake in this course.
