SCSA’s 2019 VET Awards – Nominations now open

Recognising VET students in WA’s secondary schools.

Completing a vocational education and training (VET) qualification while still at school can open career pathways through the development of industry-focused, job-ready skills and knowledge and the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification.

Western Australia’s School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) has announced that nominations for the 2019 VET Awards are now open. The awards recognise the skills students gain when studying VET while still at school.

Students may be awarded a VET exhibition or Certificate of Excellence, and also have the opportunity to be eligible for the prestigious Beazley Medal: VET, which is awarded to the eligible student who has demonstrated the most outstanding performance in a VET Certificate II or higher and in their other WACE achievements.

Nominations close on Monday 2 September, with winners announced in February 2020. Full information including how to apply is available on the SCSA website.
