Scholarship opportunities at Central Regional TAFE!

Everyone deserves the opportunity to build their future and lucky for you Central Regional TAFE is here to support you, with a range of scholarships available to assist with your course fees and charges. These scholarships are available as a result of Central Regional TAFE building strong links with business, industry and service organisations to provide opportunities for training and jobs. 

Western Power scholarships

Central Regional TAFE in partnership with Western Power will be offering scholarship opportunities (full course fees) to full-time students enrolled in the UEE22011 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) during semester two, 2018.

The successful applicants will receive a monetary scholarship and the funds will be applied to course fees in the first instance; the remainder may be used for future training, resource fees or other costs at the recipient’s discretion. Applicants are strongly encouraged to learn about  Western Power and the significant contribution they make to the region westernpower.com.au/about .

 

Metso Australia Ltd Indigenous scholarship program

Central Regional TAFE and Metso Australia Limited will be offering scholarship opportunities to full-time students, enrolled in courses relating to engineering and mining at the Kalgoorlie or Geraldton campuses, during semester two, 2018.

The successful applicants will receive a monetary scholarship and the funds will be applied to course fees in the first instance; the remainder may be used for future training, resource fees or other costs at the recipient’s discretion. Applicants are strongly encouraged to learn about Metso Australia Limited and the significant contribution they make to the region at metso.com.

 

Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE) scholarship program

In 2017, AWE supported five Central Regional TAFE students who were engaged in full time courses in the areas of STEM, and are now once again offering these scholarship opportunities in 2018 to full-time students, enrolled in courses under the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Preference will be given in the first instance to Aboriginal students based in the Irwin District (but opportunities are not refined to this group). The successful applicants will receive a monetary scholarship and the funds will be applied to course fees, books, other course resources and where applicable, accommodation.
