With no further local cases of COVID-19, easing of restrictions for Perth and Peel will proceed as planned from 12.01 am Saturday 8 May.

WA TAFE colleges

Masks will no longer be required on campus however students are reminded that they are still required on public transport. Students who train in settings such as hospitals, aged care facilities and disabilities services will be required to wear a mask in those locations. Regular campus cleaning continues, with particular attention to high contact surfaces. Hand sanitizer is also available across campuses in key locations. Usual physical distancing and hygiene practices will continue, following the Healthy WA guidelines, particularly those around hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes and staying home if you are unwell.

If you have been to one of the sites outlined on the Healthy WA website and are required to quarantine, please do as instructed by health officials.

Jobs and Skills Centres

All Jobs and Skills Centres (JSCs) in the Perth metropolitan area and Peel region have returned to full operations as of 3 May 2021.

  • Visitors to all JSCs across the State must check in using the SafeWA app or contact register.
  • Visitors must wear a mask when attending a JSC and practice safe hygiene.
  • For those not wanting to attend a JSC in person, services will continue to be available via email and phone.
  • All JSCs in the regional areas of WA will operate as usual.
