For secondary students, parents, and schools

For secondary students, making future plans can be challenging. Which study pathways should they follow? Do they have a career in mind? To help students, parents and schools with these questions — and other decisions about the future — we have put together a range of information.

For students, find out about study options including vocational education and training and university, and how to answer some of the questions around your future plans.

For parents, find out how you can be a key support at this time and the advice and guidance you provide can make a positive difference.

For schools, including teachers and career practitioners, we can help you support students with career planning.

Being in your senior school years, and even leaving school is a big step into the next stage of life, which is exciting! We want to make sure that students can make the most of every opportunity so they can set themselves  up for a happy and successful future. Jobs and Skills Centres have professional career advisors who can help every step of the way with advice, information and support to help students figure out their future plans. They can also support parents and teachers with training and careers advice and support.
