Aspire Performance Training offers CERTIFICATE IV IN WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY as a Traineeship. Students are required to complete 10 units of competency. There are no pre-requisite or co-requisite for this qualification. All 10 units must be completed to attain the full qualification. Where only some units of competency are achieved, a statement of attainment will be issued. This qualification forms part of the Business Services Training Package BSB. This qualification applies to individuals working in a work health and safety (WHS) role who provide a broad range of technical knowledge and skills and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

This course is delivered via flexible learning to registered trainees with 10 units for completion. You will have 12 months to complete all units (or up to 36 months for a part time traineeship). Learning and Assessment material is online and support is available via telephone, email, Teams, workplace visits and at our training rooms by appointment.  We also offer student support days once a month for WHS students.  These are not mandatory but recommended. CTS can adjust the training to suit the individual’s need and their workplace.  More information is available on our website.

The BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety will provide graduates with a solid understanding of key aspects of safety as relevant to Australian workplaces. This will include how to ensure compliance with WHS laws, respond to incidents and contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS systems in the workplace.
Students completing this traineeship will be working in, or aspiring to work in a work health and safety (WHS) role. Participants require solid language, literacy, and numeracy skills as well as computer literacy.
Trainees will participate in facilitated virtual classes, supported online learning and complete practical assessments onsite or at The Pivot Institute/ Mine Training Australia’s facilities in Osborne Park. Site visits will be arranged by your trainer through-out your traineeship. Some students may be eligible for RPL depending on their skills and knowledge. The duration will vary depending on experience and elective units chosen.
