The Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Meat Safety) qualification covers work activities undertaken by meat inspectors in meat processing enterprises, usually at export processing plants.

Meat inspectors inspect animal carcasses, internal organs and meat processing facilities for disease to ensure compliance with government and industry standards with respect to quality and health.

This qualification leads to a skilled profession in the stable meat processing industry. Among other important skills, you'll inspect animals and animal products, monitor quality procedures, ensure hygiene standards are maintained, and perform post-mortem and ante-mortem inspections.

TSA offers Traineeships in AMP40516 Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Meat Safety) . This qualification covers work activities undertaken by meat inspectors in meat processing enterprises. It covers the duties of a meat inspector performing post-mortem inspection and, in some cases, ante-mortem inspection.  TSA deliver training, coaching and assessment within the workplace to benefit both the employer and the participant.  TSA develop in consultation with the trainee and employer an individual training plan selecting units of competency that suit your work requirements and enable career path progression.
