The CPC30720 Certificate III in Rigging is a trade qualification suitable for those working in the area of rigging and dogging in the building and construction industry. These are workers who are carrying out basic and intermediate rigging, structural steel erection and erecting scaffolding. The qualification covers common skills and knowledge for the building and construction industry, as well as skills and knowledge more specific to the role of a dogger or a rigger. There is a strong focus on safety due to the high-risk nature of the job role. This is a licensed occupation. Training and assessment in this qualification require access to facilities and equipment in a relevant work environment. Participants are therefore required to be currently employed in such an environment, with access available for training and assessment to be conducted at the workplace.
