Civil construction is an area that offers fantastic job and career opportunities; working on projects such as new roads, bridges, train stations, schools and public buildings being constructed across WA, and this course will get you job ready for entry level work. 

You'll learn about safety and environmental protocols for a construction worksite; how to read plans and project specifications; use a range of hand and power tools; and measurements and calculations. Depending on your TAFE or training provider, you may be able to choose specialist units in areas including bituminous surfacing; bridge construction; pipe laying; road construction; tunnel construction; timber bridges; traffic management; and general operational work.

Get in on the action, with a career in civil construction! Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study.

When you complete the Certificate III in Civil Construction (Civil Construction General) you'll be building a career as a mobile plant operator, bridge construction worker, pipe layer, or road construction worker.

Training for any required gap units can be scheduled to align with workplace operations and may be conducted at the employer’s place of business if required.
