If you would you love to work with animals, the Certificate III in Animal Care Services is the course for you!

You'll gain the skills and knowledge to set you up for work at kennels, pet stores, rescue shelters or even in pet grooming. It's a great introduction to animal care if you're considering veterinary nursing or even studying to become a vet, or if you're serious about a career in animal care or welfare. You'll learn how to interact safely with different animals and assess their welfare, communication skills, infection controls, and basic animal first aid.

Depending on the training provider you choose, you can choose a study specialisation such as animal care, pet grooming or customer service.

When you complete the Certificate III in Animal Care Services, you will have acquired the skills and knowledge to work in a broad range of roles in the animal care industry, including boarding, dog day care, rescue shelters, pet sitting, dog walking, breeding establishments and other animal businesses.

Our Bentley Campus houses an animal care facility so you will be able to learn animal care in a simulated workplace with a range of animal species including dogs, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, fish, budgerigars, cockatiels, and canaries.
