You'll learn about the industry, so that you can have a better understanding of what particular area of engineering you would like to get into. You'll also gain entry level skills and knowledge to be job ready, including occupational health and safety in the workplace; how to undertake basic engineering projects; using a range of workshop machines and hand and power tools; and the use of different welding and fabrication equipment for specific jobs.
