This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to supervise laboratory operations within a work area or project team. Due to the high level skills and knowledge it offers, the course is designed for people who have experience in a technical laboratory role.

This course is the perfect choice if you're looking for a career move to become a laboratory supervisor, senior technical officer, or similar role where you'll be responsible for the effective implementation of operational policies and procedures; the technical training of personnel in their work area; planning, allocation and coordination of tasks; quality assurance and risk management; the recording and reporting of laboratory outputs; use of technical equipment and technology; leading and/or managing a team, and overseeing all aspects of operations — noting that some of these tasks may be done under broad direction from scientists, medical staff, and/or engineers.

This qualification, delivered by LTT Group Pty Ltd (RTO 51621), is aimed at the supervisory level and is appropriate for laboratory supervisors, senior technical officers, and similar personnel.  This qualification can be delivered in the workplace under a traineeship arrangement.
